Yamaha’s YG6600DE is similar to the YG6600D model; however, it offers more convenience from its upgraded and additional features. Due to its high output, easy operation, and reliability this is one of the most popular Yamaha models. It is designed for industrial use on the job site and can support various equipment including power tools, lights, and small refrigerators.

This brushless AC generator comes equipped with a massive 357 cc 12 hp OHV engine that has a max output of 6600 watts and a rated output of 6000 watts. It operates on a 60 hz AC frequency and has a rated voltage of 120V/ 240V. This is definitely enough power to get most jobs done!

The electric start, remote controlled start, auto choke, auto decompression system, and transistor controlled ignition makes any way of starting this machine simple, effortless, and easy. The oil watch system shuts off the generator when oil levels get too low. This is important because a lack of oil can often lead to engine damage and costly repairs/ replacement. The spark arrestor and AC non-fuse thermal breaker are additional standard safety mechanisms found on the YG66000DE. The automatic voltage regulator is a noteworthy feature found on both YG6600 models. It ensures that the correct power will be supplied to attached devices even when extension cords are used. This allows for that much needed distance to reach equipment. Most job sites are not very compact and the AVR feature becomes essential. The noise suppressor reduces interference with televisions and has a muffler and intake silencer to also reduce levels. Nonetheless, it still produces a noise level of 73.5 dB. This is somewhat loud compared to other models, so it is advised to keep it isolated from others. It has a dry weight of 198 pounds. This is somewhat heavy compared to most models; however, this can be attributed to its large engine. And, if someone is looking for 6600 watts of power, it is going to take a beast. The economy idle feature enables the YG6600DE to run for up to 8.3 hours @ 1/2 load on its 5.5 gallon fuel tank.

Yamaha insures the YG6600DE with a one year limited warranty.

Yamaha’s YG6600D is similar to the YG5200D. However, it offers more power at 6600 watts and features automatic voltage regulation, while retaining most of the specs common to the YG5200D. If you are looking for a steady stream of high and clean power, this is an excellent choice.

The YG6600D comes equipped with a large 12 hp 357 cc OHV engine. This produces an AC current of 50/ 55 amps @ 120V and 25/ 27.5 amps @ 240V. Its high power output makes the YG6600D ideal for the job site. It can power a variety of devices ranging from lights, saws, drills, to even small refrigerators. One can even use an extension cord with this model to give you that much needed extra distance.

The YG6600D can operate on both 120V and 240V. Its brushless alternator increases reliability and durability. Often generators can interfere with electronics. However, Yamaha offers a solution. The YG6600D’s noise suppressor significantly reduces interference with electronics so that one can use nearby devices such as televisions. The auto decompression feature and the transistor controlled ignition add ease to the start up process. Once started, the economy idle conserves fuel thereby allowing for a continual operation of up to 8.3 hours @ ½ rated load on its 5.5 gallon tank. At 8.3 hours, it can last for a while without refueling which comes in handy on job sites where time is an immediate concern.

Job sites can already be a dangerous environment; consumers should not have to worry about the safety of their generator and surrounding workers. That’s why Yamaha provides an oil watch system, AC non-fuse thermal breaker, spark arrestor, and a ground fault interrupter to eliminate any unfortunate problems.

At 73.5 dB, the YG6600D is quiet loud. This may annoy surrounding neighbors; therefore, it is advised to isolate it from others. Although loud, 73.5 dB should still be easily tolerable by most (especially if it is isolated).

Yamaha insures this model with a one year limited warranty.
