The YG5200D is a premium, industrial generator from Yamaha that offers 5200 watts of power with many elite features. This is a reliable and durable model with a strong output which makes it ideal for use on construction/job sites. This can power various devices without inferring with electronics. In addition, its extensive safety features ensure longevity, help prevent any accidents, and provide a peace of mind for its consumers.

Its large 10 hp engine with 301 cc of displacement has a max AC output of 5200 watts and a rated output of 4500 watts. This is enough power to feed high demanding devices, which is very handy especially on most job sites.  This is applicable for use in various environments due to its high output while retaining a relativity versatile weight of 183 pounds.

The YG5200D comes with brushless alternator to add reliability. A dual 120V and 240V operation allows for convenience and increases its potential uses. The oil watch safety feature prevents engine damage. A fuel gauge and voltmeter conveniently increase ones ability to monitor the system. It also comes equipped with a noise suppressor to reduce any interference with electronic devices. The auto decompression and transistor controlled ignition allow for easy starting. A ground fault interrupter and ac non-fuse thermal breaker are additional safety features. The economy idle feature enables the YG5200D to operate continuously for 9.5 hours @ ½ rated load on its 5.5 gallon tank without refueling. It produces a 73 dB noise level, which is not too loud. However, it is advised to isolate this generator from neighbors.

Yamaha YG2800iComments (0)

Filed under: Yamaha, Inverters — ltcobretti @ 12:23 am

The YG2800i is a brushless inverter model from Yamaha’s industrial line. It has a strong output, is quiet, and has a lot to offer. This is perfect for powering tools, lights, and other equipment on the job site. Its 2800 watts is a strong output for a small/ mid sized generator and Yamaha includes many additional features that add ease and convenience to both start up and operation of the YG2800i.

Yamaha gives the YG2800i a 171 cc 5.5 hp OHV engine with the ability to produce maximum of 2800 watts.  It has a max AC current of 20.8/ 23.3 amps @ 120V. In addition, it has a DC output primarily for charging batteries.

In addition, the YG2800i features a sixteen-pole alternator, twenty-four coil stator which improves performance and reduces size. It has an inverter system with pulse width modulation that ensures a steady stream of power.  At 66 pounds, it is very light and easily mobile. Its oil watch system protects against engine damage. The non-fuse AC thermal breaker is another safety tool to prevent overload. Its muffler reduces levels to a range between 60-67 dBA.

Often a generator’s runtime is a very important factor. Refueling is just another task on the job site. Longer runtimes increase efficiency and eliminate unnecessary delays. Many smaller generators have small tanks and short runtimes; however, the YG2800i offers convenience with a lengthy 12.9 hours @ ½ rated load on one full 3.0 gallon tank. This is largely due to the economy control feature, which increases fuel efficiency by lowering engine speeds.

Yamaha backs the YG2800i with a one year limited warranty.

Yamaha EF1000Comments (0)

Filed under: Yamaha — ltcobretti @ 3:25 am

Yamaha’s EF1000 is an affordable generator for powering small devices. This model requires little maintenance, is very reliable, and is priced considerably lower than other comparable models.

Powered by an 84.4 cc OHV engine, the EF1000 produces a max AC output of 1000 watts and a 12 V DC output. It can power lights, fans, and small household appliances. The DC output comes in handy when charging batteries. For its size, this definitely has a strong output.

The EF1000 comes equipped with an AC thermal breaker and a spark arrestor for safety.  There is a suppressor to reduce any interference with electronic devices. This model’s convenient and crafty design is lightweight and includes a handle that makes transport simple. The auto decompression makes start up easy. Its oil watch system shuts off the machine if oil levels get too low. This prevents overheating which is a common cause of engine damage. It has a fuel gauge and voltmeter for easy system monitoring. With a runtime of up to 6 hours, the EF1000 is very efficient. However, it is loud at 83 dB. Therefore, one should consider isolating it from others. Nonetheless, if you are looking to power small devices with convenience and at a low cost, then the EF1000 is an excellent candidate.
